Contacting Professional


  • RESEARCH - helps figure out how accessible or not their work is 
  • Social interests - check out their social media and previous interviews (use as gauge to make interview more interesting) Instagram Twitter LinkedIn - contact on more frequently used platform.
  • Make a LinkedIn account - build an account that clearly presents interests achievements and goals 
  • Moving forward to face-to-face interview - searching for contact email address 
  • on Google search - click on 'tools' then 'verbatim' when searching for an exact email address to contact 
  • 'BCC' a direct email so that all the guesses of the persons email don't come up as other CC'd emails to them 
  • Consider using motion in email - stands out from other emails 
  • Set up an email signature in templates - animation form 
  • Get straight to the point with the email and have a clear ask
  • Get on the front foot. propose dates and times. follow up with a calendar invite. Straight away  
  • Conduct the interview in person or over video or voice call 
  • Make sure you've carefully prepared your questions - have to present what i'm interested in 
  • Ask for permission to record conversation - clean feed is good recording website 
  • add them on socials and linkedin 
  • proof rad - grammerly 
  • maybe collaborate with a photographer - communicate that they will be getting something from this website as well (potentially featured on interviewee's website) 
  • Ask for pres ready images - communicate that the publication wouldn't be for sale - at best on a website - communicate that they are getting somehting from thr interview aswell 
  • have a look at 'intern' interview on estudio
