Problem

Creating an Instagram that was worked as one through an easy to navigate layout, which children could simply pick up and enjoy; while also having an eye catching but still cohesive design throughout was a key to how successful the Instagram was going to be.

Solution

To achieve a design that was eye catching, refined and cohesive while still being accessible to children; was achieved through moving away from the colour themed questions (yellow, red, green, blue), which looked cluttered and clashed with one another; to a bold and complimentary red, black and white colour scheme.

Furthermore, changing from an Instagram that would contain tiles which had multiple images on, to a profile layout that would take advantage of the whole screen space but using a 3x9 tile setup for each game made the game much more accessible to children.

Process

The move from a physical board game to a digital Instagram board game (along with the physical stickers) was a lot more appropriate for the gamer audience who are mostly heavily involved with social media and technology in general.

Limitations

If it was possible to make adverts for this game, this would have been great to use on the social media platform (Instagram)

Successes

A cohesive Instagram that is accessible to any aged child, giving a wider scope of the positive effect we’d wanted to have on child gamers.
