Screening Review

The Burden of Dreams 

The Burden of Dreams is a film which is set in the jungles of Peru. The environments of a rainforest were replicated in the screening through using various rainforest videos on youtube along with their sounds, at the same time. The use of multiple screens, each depicting a different rainforest situation, and then decorating the room with various plants and flowers created a multi sensory experience which was very immersive.

The film had various themes and layers that were open to interpretation,  which was communicated well with the media available through opening up multiple windows on the main screen, one displaying the film and two others displaying rain forest scenery, making it slightly more difficult to concentrate on the film, this emitting the experience of the film, it being hard to follow and complicated.
