Research On Ethan Earle
An interesting set of forms created as a sort of daily exercise to encourage the start/flow of Ethan's creative process. There are some interesting forms here, this process of creating a logo in regular intervals could be re interpreted in the form of the 2001: space odyssey film, as being a process of creating a logo for each major development in the plot of the film, creating a set of logos which react to visual and audio cues.
Response to Jessy Lanza single, 'Oh No'. A set of graphics which react to the sounds incoporated in film in the screening would create some interesting potential forms for both screening and promotional media used (posters)
Thomas More's utopian alphabet set in concrete, spelling 'Brutalism'. Representing the ideologies shared by Modernist Architecture & Graphic Design. The theme of a utopian future is one that is coherent between 2001: A Space Odyssey and the reasoning behind this project here (below); a theme I'd like to explore with the screening of the film and the supporting promotional posters.
