Patterns

A set of collages which respond to patterns in the film.

This collage takes inspiration from the isolated form of the space freighter which looks so alone in the expansive area of space. The shards of the image try to present this feeling of separation and isolation.

Here these clippings of different images from the film present a pattern/form of the monolith which is present throughout the film. 

A pattern which takes inspiration from the bright colour patterns we see nearer the end of film, where the audience is left a confused as to what is happening and where the character is being taken to. 

Key scenes

Inspiration from when the lead character is seen using the gym on the space freighter which is revolving around in a sphere to keep the occupant panted to the floor.

From one of the initials scenes where ape figures out how to use tools, and immediately uses it to kill a rival group of apes. 

Taken from the last scene in the film where we see the lead character return to earth as a sort of 'super human' foetus.

Inspiration from the explosion of colour we see when the lead characater is led into another dimension.
